Dear Tweedy Mile Stakeholder,
As Tweedy Mile Association is going through a challenging situation to secure needed funding, in order to continue its neighborhood revitalization efforts, the Board of Directors made the though decision of suspending the Executive Director’s position during this transition.
As the TMA Board, during the last four years of my tenure, has been responsive, and respectful, of my recommendations to fulfill the dream of a vibrant commercial district; I fully support their strategy to keep our organization viable.
I would like to thank all Tweedy Mile stakeholders for the opportunity of been TMA’s first Executive Director, and for the great learning experience that involved managing this progressive organization. As discussed with the TMA Board, I might remain involved in some projects. Therefore this message is not a good bye, but a ‘see you later.”
I hope you will continue to work with TMA and the City of South Gate to ensure a thriving Downtown.
P.S. I invite you to read our four year summary in our website, for you to learn what was accomplished during 2007-2011. Go to FAQ, and then to, Tweedy Mile and its association.
